Describe the Mechanics of your Process

Describe your view of the mechanics of your teams creative process. This is the nuts and bolts of the interaction, not so much the conceptual but the actual things you do. For example, how are the rehearsals structured? Is there a warmup, or do you begin with a discussion, or do you jump right in and reflect later? What do you find to be most effective about your teams process? What could be improved upon? What components if any (besides your instruments) do you find to be absolutely necessary to the process?
